Guest Posted June 30, 2004 Share Posted June 30, 2004 hey im new to the forums and mta so i decided to download it along with ase to see if the mod was anygood (which it looks) the problem is when i try and connect to any server i get the message 'your game version could not be determined (defaulting to 1.0)' i am using windows xp and i connect using a d-link router. i would b grateful if any of u guy scould help me out as this mod looks really good and i havnt even had the chance to try it yet... [KFC]KungFu Posted June 30, 2004 Share Posted June 30, 2004 You might be using GTAVC version 1.1 and you have your client set to 1.0 Don't confuse this with MTA version 0.3 Change the version on your client and you should be fine. Guest Posted June 30, 2004 Share Posted June 30, 2004 it seemed to have sorted it self out im not sure what i did lol i do have the 3.0 client and all the up to date gear but luckly it lets me connect now i been playing for a lil bit and its really great thanks all you guys that spend your time making such a great mod. one last thing... on my ase it seems i can only use it for 21 days b4 i have to pay, is there any other way to connect and find game for free without using ase? Nah, that's just to scare you. After the 21 day trial, every 7 days it pops up with that message and you just cancel it and continue using the software. You don't honestly thing ASE would be as popular as it is if you had to pay for it do you? And regarding the "Your game version cannot be determined" message, I assumed that everyone gets that the first time they run MTA after installing (I do). As soon as you set it once, it retains your settings. Link to comment
