Desaster
hi I saw this in a resource can you tell me what does it do ? ="client.lua" type="client" protected="true"/> ps : in meta.xml Link to comment
Castillo
If you enable that, the script won't be downloaded to the client's hard drive, it'll be loaded on memory. Link to comment
Tete omar
Wasn't that called 'cache'? Link to comment
Castillo
I would say that it got renamed to 'cache', since 'protected' no longer appears on the wiki. Link to comment
Markeloff
it'll be loaded on memory. Server's Memory or client's computer? Link to comment
Dealman
It will be stored in the RAM, rather than stored on the hard-drive. That way, people will have to re-download the client script everytime they join the server. This is to prevent script theft. You should use "cache=false" instead. False will store in RAM, true on HDD. Link to comment
arezu
Keep in mind that people can still get the code easily by packet sniffing, but I guess it's a good way to prevent noobs from stealing your scripts at least. Link to comment
