I have encountered a problem when trying to play mta 1.3.4 with my official ps2 controller connected to a 2 port ps2 to usb adapter. It worked fine with XP Home but I have upgraded my system (including mb and cpu) to W7 64bit and the device manager has 2 entries for HID-compliant game controller in Human Interface Devices. Obviously one for each of the two ports but only one ps2 I'm using, so it seems it is installed but when in mta I cannot change the axis as it says 'Joypad not detected - check connections and restart game'. I will find the drivers for the pad but I don't think they will work as I'm on 64bit OS so I'm thinking it may not be an OS issue but a problem with MTA. I also just went into joy.cpl but under Installed game controllers there are no entries, normally in XP there would be two and I could click on one to calibrate my joypad. Please help team!
Edit: Actually if doesn't appear joypad panel then it's probably not to do with mta as windows does see the adapter but doesn't see the sony ps2 pad that is connected. I'm currently trying to find a workaround as many other people have (or had) the same problem after Googling and not just with my specific model either.
