Aditya Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I am sorry if this is a wrong board for this post. I am new here, so I don't know where to post this problem. I had saved my map in the map editor and I am unable to open it. The following are some ways which I tried... 1. Clicked 'Current Element'. Result - failed. 2. Clicked 'Open'. Result - nothing was there except the default maps. 3. Copied my project and placed it at the last with other default maps. Result - Still failed. Anything more I can do just to open that map ? or if I have done anything wrong please tell me. I would also like to provide one image of the directory where I have that file. Here it is :
0 Woovie Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 If you check your logs for your server, it'll say something like this. [11:24:03] WARNING: Not loading resource 'My Derp' as it contains illegal characters Your resource cannot contain spaces in the name, and it is further recommended you use lowercase letters for Linux compatibility.
0 Aditya Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 I got this: [2013-03-29 20:21:48] WARNING: Not loading resource 'CIT Party Island Project' as it contains illegal characters Alright, I understood what you said, but is there 'still' any possible way that would help me retrieve my file back? At-least any one way?
0 denny199 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Remove the SPACES: so rename it to for example: "CIT_Party_Island_Project"
