johny46
Hi. It's my first post here. I would like to start a server, but the map just seems too small for the gamemode I'd like to run on it. Do you know if there's any easy way to enlarge the whole map by certain amount? Let's say 1.5x bigger than original - is it possible? I am aware that textures would look blurry, but it doesn't matter for me. I tried searching, but I just couldn't find anything related to my problem. Thanks for any advice! Link to comment
PaiN^
i guess the only way to enlarge the map is by editing it using Map Editor . Link to comment
johny46
Do you know how to do it in Map Editor? I tried it today but I couldn't find any way to scale the whole map. Additionally, I was only able to resize custom object - not the ones originally placed on map Link to comment
Moderators IIYAMA Posted May 5, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 5, 2013 You can't scale gta san world-objects. You should copy them with the world-object-select-tool and then scale them. Link to comment

Yes, but still when it's scaled there isn't a good collision anymore then setObjectScaleThis function changes the visible size of an object. It is very important to note that this does not affect the collision models for the object, as such this is unsuitable for use for interaction with players, vehicles or other objects. Link to comment
johny46
Thanks for replying. That doesn't satisfy me though. Is there a way to resize the collisions too, or not at the moment? Why I'm asking is because I wanted to start a trucking server, but the default SA map is just too small. Going from two most distant places takes no more than 6 minutes. I guess I'll just have to add more highways and stuff going out of the map. But there's another question related: Is there a way to use a non-standard map file? Right now, it accepts only square ones. If I'd added new roads, I'd like to also have them marked on the F11 map. Maybe it could be a good feature proposition? So you can use your own image as a background, for example rectangular ones, so we aren't limited to the default map's size? I don't know whether you guys get what I mean, my english isn't too well. Sorry Link to comment

Sorry Hello. You can remove whole map and start mapping only highways as you want for your future trucker server. About map at F11. Yes it is possible to place your custom map/ image in there, i saw it on some servers. Link to comment
