Dear users and administrators, you may have seen the increasing number of tutorials that are being posted in the tutorial section and you may have noticed the integrity of some of them aren't very good.

Some "scripters" just create tutorials to make themselves look impressive, but in actuality they are spoiling the quality of novice and future scripters by creating such tutorials. Possible examples of these are: this, this, this, this, this, and quite a few more (oh yeah, this too.) Even this isn't a great tutorial, it's too long for such a simple thing.

My idea to solve this increasingly problematic problem is to remove the tutorial section from the forum and create a tutorial section on the wiki. Even though it will not prevent the creation of atrocious tutorials, it will allow experienced developers to tweak the tutorial (or transform it entirely) without violating the rights of the original creator. Talking about this tutorial can be executed within the talk section of the wiki page.

I hope you all agree with me about this problem, the only way we can get this heard is by creating a poll. If you support this, please help the community make this happen by answer the poll. If you don't support me, that's fine, you're all entitled to

your own opinion - but please tell me what your opinion regardless by replying below.

Thanks,

A Concerned Citizen.

EDIT: I have created a tutorial section but at the moment it is very messy and I am sure it should be executed in another way such as the way function page listings work. It may be separated between map tutorials, scripting tutorials and other tutorials.

Maybe topics moderation in this section would help, all new topics would have to be approved by moderator.

That was already requested multiple times and in fact I was creating this post to petition that, then I decided a wiki would be better.
