Question

Hello there MTA community. I wanted to know how, can I change gta_sa.exe(MTA) priority. Of course we use Task manager, but when I try to change the process priority it says:

The operation could not be completed.

Access is denied.

I would really appreciate it, if someone could tell me how can I let it work, thank you in advance.

Well i'm having kind of the same problem as this guy is having.

Since I've had similiar lag kind of spikes/freezes in some games, changing the priority to "high", always worked for me. It kind of always solves problems like this, hmm.

I doubt it will help anything, since my system is VERY old, well I had to change the video card back to a very crappy one, but it never failed me with SA-MP nor GTA:SA , it's just MTA. And I think I did have an install of MTA in older days with even a much crappier system, with the same 9250. And it worked like a charm.

Eh, I installed everything and all, it might helped A BIT, but very slightly, can't confirm. But it's definitely there, and is kind of a problem.

If nobody knows any other fix, I would still like to know how to change the priority.

OK, the Ethernet driver installed successfully. There is still a USB controller without a driver. Did the Chipset drivers install OK? Try these chipset drivers - they're older and may provide the necessary driver for the USB controller (though it's odd that Windows can't use a generic one).
