Some kind of question about repeating some function.

Hi! How can I make that some function repeat every Sunday but once at for example 12 AM?

example funtion:

function repeat () 
outputChatBox("Today is sunday!") 
end

As far as I know, the only way would be checking the current date every hour or something.
