Kinetiic
Hi, I'm having a little problem with starting my server. I've just transfered hosts and my server is now attempting to run from a VPS. I transfered all of the files, so I copied every single file from the old server to my computer, and then to the VPS. I tried to start the server and I had some problems with starting the server but I fixed those, but after I fixed those I got another one saying; I have tried deleting the server-id.keys and then tried starting the server but that gave exactly the same error. I hope you can help, thanks. Link to comment

MTA Team jhxp Posted July 4, 2012 MTA Team Share Posted July 4, 2012 You should not run it as root, or have it in the /root directory if you are trying to run it as a regular user. Make a new user (# adduser someuser), log in as that user, download and unpack the mta server(and resources and configs) to its home directory, then try running the server. Link to comment
