SugarD-x
Attention users, A new, potentially annoying bug has been identified in MTA 0.5r2. If you have your game set to high resolutions and it crashes, try deleting your settings file. If this solves the crash, but changing back to high resolutions crashes upon game loading again, then you have the resolution bug. The cause: MTA 0.5r2, in order to prevent desync, forces the frame limiter on in the game's memory. Unfortunately, this does not affect GTA:VC's GUI menus, so the menu setting, (if the frame limiter is disabled prior to running MTA the first time with GTA), overrides the memory which has already been pre-set upon game load, causing conflicting memory issues and the game crashes while loading because it does not understand which setting should be the correct one. The fix: Make sure your frame limiter is turned on the first time you run MTA with GTA. This not only prevents desync issues in the game, but it also prevents this bug from happening. If you attempt to disable the frame limiter in-game, it will not crash you, but the memory setting will continue to override this setting so you cannot desync yourself from others. We don't want cheaters ruining gameplay for others, so don't try to bypass this because it won't work. Have fun boys and girls, and we will make an attempt in one of the future updates to fix this bug. Happy gaming! Link to comment
