How to test maps?

Hello I want to make some maps and I am wondering how to test maps. Do I have to make a Internet server? Because I want to put them onto the showcase section with a download. Can I also make it in LAN? Pardon me if it is in the wrong section.

Ehm yes and no

You can test it in your editor.

OR

You need to lauch a server. In your mta folder, you have another folder called server. Inside that folder there is your server.

and you can use hamachi for the connection if you don't know how to open your ports. (hamachi can fit lan connections together)

2 ways,

1 - Map Editor - F6/F5

2 - MTA San Andreas > Server > MTA Server.exe

Start up the server, use "start resourcename" from console (the .exe program) and go IG and find your map.

Or just go to a button "Host Game" and add your map on the starting resources.
