Xeno Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 What do you mean? Are you hosting it from your PC?
darkdragon14 Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 I want to put my server on internet, not on local .
JR10 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 You will have to get some host for your server, you can search on Hosting Solutions section.
Baseplate Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 it can be for free if someone offered it to u but u can pay for a server too which is better cause the free hosting could steal your scripts
darkdragon14 Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 But someone told me that to make on server list, it uses web router and make the UTC and UPD port
Sparrow Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 open ports so your server will be on server browser
Baseplate Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Dark Dragon here is my tuto to open ports
Baseplate Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 try to check ur local ip adress, go to MTA>Server Browser>Local>Copy/Paste that IP up and put it into ur Local IP Address
darkdragon14 Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 its correct Edit: Thanks my friend now it works btw, are you good in scripting? Edit2: when I close MTAserver.exe, the connection is lost. how to make it stay online?
darkdragon14 Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 When i close MTA Server.exe, everyone cant join to my server
12p Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 DUH... YOU'RE CLOSING THE SERVER AND YOU EXPECT PEOPLE TO ENTER. It's like closing a window and expect air to get inside by that window.
darkdragon14 Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 So how to let the server online when I shut down my pc?
12p Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Impossible. Just like downloading a game while the PC is off.
darkdragon14 Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 its imposible too if my PC is on for 24 hours
12p Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Then tell your community the server won't be dedicated. Or don't host a server in your home; rent one in a good hosting company like GameServer4You (not free). Or don't even bother trying to be hosting any server and just be a good community player Making good and suscessful servers is not a joke or a hobbie meant for 10 years old kids (not saying you're one of them though).
ColorHost-Kevin Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 To keep your server running you have a couple options. You can host it on your PC which is free, but the downside to this factor is that you will need to keep your PC 24/7 if you want it always running. Your other option is to get a server provider to provide you with a server. But your server will stay online 24/7 from the point when you clicked the "start" button
darkdragon14 Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 Dude, can you give me a tutorial? or any video on youtube
12p Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 I doubt there is any tutorial. You should learn to search the things by yourself, it's not hard. Just go to Google, type what you need, and press enter. Then just click some result.
