Oxygene
Hello, I'm kind of new here. So I don't know for sure if that is asked before. I tried to use the searchbutton but with no success. Yesterday I was on a LAN party and we were playing on some servers. We played on a so called DD/DM server. We decided to start a server ourself but we found out the destruction derby that's a standard map is a 'race' map. So when you die, you respawn. I am familiar with the way how to build a map. Putting objects, spawnpoints. But I don't need the race gamemode. How do I create such a DD/DM map where if you die you are out of the race and you get a place on the ranking list. I think it has something to do with the gamemode settings and I know for sure it's not hard to make because there are many custom DD maps. So could anybody please help me with this? Or show me a good tutorial? Thanks you Link to comment
Freezzie
In de map editor, go to the map settings (the earth logo in the top of your screen), then select the "gamemode settings" tab in the menu that appears. Select the respawn option (just ignore the respawntime option) and change it from timelimit to none. Hope it helped you Link to comment

Freezzie
And then it displays the ranking who dies at what time and such? yup, if no checkpoints are placed (or respawn is turned off) mta displays the time when players die, counting down from the last position to the first position. Deagle
In a short explanation, DM and DD maps are Race maps without checkpoints. Link to comment
