New Dedicated Server - Running 500 slots [Help]

Hello MTA Forums..

I have a Dedicated Server with a Core i7, 6GB RAM, 2TB HDD & 1TB UP/DOWN Connection..

I'm looking to host a 500 slot Role Play server for San Andreas..

I do host servers for games BF2, BF3, CS:SOURCE, COD:MW3, HL2DM..

I'm not a complete noob at running servers but totaly new to San Andreas multiplayer..

I have both the SA-MP Dedicated Server (Windows) & the MTA Server (Windows)

Can any1 help me in regards to setting this up?

Hosting on Windows is never a really good idea in my honest opinion, but that aside.

You have to download the binary files, which do come with your MTA client on windows, simply copy those to your windows server, and its already set to rock, you just have to change the name, set the amount of slots and maybe the port if you require to do so.

Changing the name is not hard at all, the settings are in the mtaserver.conf file in the /mods/deathmatch/ folder of your server.

I wasn't aware there was a manual... Thanks for that! And also I'm hosting on Windows as I've always used that, never had any problems in the past. Thanks for your help guys!

Sure you do.

Find out your real server specifications before trying to host a server.
