MTA freezes and then closes.

Vancarcious

Question

Okay, so this is what happened:

I installed some new skins, after that GTA gave me a runtime error and didn't work anymore after I installed mods.

Lucky for me I had backups made so I just replaced thinking it will work, but it just gave me the same runtime error.

I re-installed GTA:SA and MTA and it worked again.

It worked until I started lagging severely so I decided to restart my computer.

After restarting, I started up MTA and it got past the first screen, (credits w/e) then went on the MTA main screen and froze right after, then closed.

I restarted again, thinking it was just a temporary thing or something, it gave me the same thing.

I re-installed MTA multiple times, with previous /resources and without, it didn't give me a different result.

I un-installed MTA and went to bed, thinking that I'll try again in the morning.

So now I'm at my computer, I've tried re-installing MTA, it still gave me the same thing.

I don't think it's a GTA SA error because GTA works fine, and also MTA doesn't give me any error (any error at all) related to GTA so it shouldn't be that.

The only thing that I can come up with that might work is installing the latest MTA nightly. Did that, didn't work.

Any help?

Okay...

So, as I was installing the chipset drivers, my computer suddenly turned off. I wasn't really looking so I didn't see if it gave any error or what... I thought it's just an automatic restart, and the previous drivers required it anyways so I wasn't really upset. So my computer is then restarted, I load Google Chrome, and suddenly it gives me an error. It tells me that I have no internet connection, therefore I can't go to the specified website. It also gave me a Windows-Run command that I could use to find out what the problem is... I was quite shocked. So now I have no internet connection, I'm writing this on my family laptop. Any help? Oh, also, I found out the problem with MTA in the later evening. I found out that I just had to re-install GTA. I felt shit at that moment, and stupid for not trying it before. Anyhow, any help with the internet problem? Thank you, really.

I don't know how... So I downloaded the installer from my laptop and put it on my memory stick, then took it over to my PC. When it asked me what I want to install, I unticked "NVidia GART Driver", "NVidia SMBus Driver", "NVidia IDE Driver" and "NVidia Audio Driver". Only left "NVidia Ethernet Driver" ticked. It started installing Ethernet Driver components and my computer turned off randomly like before. I was sure that it will not work as the same thing happened before. I then went over to my internet to write down the error code that it gave me... and it worked again... so, thanks anyways.
