it was working fine yesterday this is what the error message says.

iv'e tried reinstalling gta sa and mta but still the same. installed patch & directX runtimes

Is your user account an Administrator? You must run MTA with an Administrator account.

yea my account is administrator. i just managed to get to the server list and join but crashes 2-3sec after.

and can only do that if i change gta.exe for a new one.

Your laptop is very dated, and does not meet the minimum system requirements for running MTA:SA. It'd be simply luck if you got it running acceptably well. You can try installing the following, which might help:

• Latest patch of MTA:SA

hi thanks for helping yes my computer is outdated a bit but iv'e been playing mta sa for over a year on it. and it's only since i installed mta1.1 that things started to go wrong. i was running mta0.5 but that dont work anymore now o.4 runs but dont load any servers.

i installed all what you said apart from Optical drive firmware it says (cant find suitable drive F/W) when trying to install.

k thanks for the help i will be getting a new computer at the end of the week so will be alright then. would still like to play till then though so will give the 1.0.5 a go
