Hello...

These past few days i've been spam refreshing server browser ,Checking playerbases of all communities.

And, Most of our communities are lacking players and dying out , Due to the massive amount of people.

(Please DONT turn this into a flame thread , this is meant to prove facts and find common grounds, NOT Fight)

DeVo Roleplay , Once had many players , Now I see less and less, I mean no offence by this , But its what i see.

Virtua is rarely up

Radical is slowly rotting away ,

Every server , Is slowly but SURELY losing players. And if this keeps up , We're all just gonna end up closing.

We all opened with some vision , some idea. But too many people decided to try and pursue the vision.

I'm proposing this....

A Massive merge. Details can be discussed more fully . Conjoin all the communities , Each community has SOMETHING to offer that another doesnt , Whether it be they got a bug fixed another server doesnt , Etc. If we Join the communities, I feel we'd have a MAJOR Chance... Turn these 3,4,5 servers into 1 Roleplay Counter-part. It would change alot for Everyone who plays these servers, More people to play with , More enjoyment , Better communities.

Common grounds can be met for this.. Just ,If you own or are a high up in one of these Communities, Consider what im saying... Would you rather have 5 Tiny communities , Or one Competitor. I know alot of people have alot of pride invested in their servers , But forget the pride for a moment , Forget the useless fights , Forget everything , And consider this.

A massive merge is a bad idea, why you ask?

Because most of the server owners are arrogant, ignorant, and underaged.

If they would agree on merging, they would just wait out until the script has developped far enough, and then run away to start their own server again.

A good point indeed. Even if it's 2 communities merging it will help ALOT

The sad part of this idea is that there are not many communities, with a mature administration team.

Most of these roleplay servers, are just 12 - 13 y/o's running a server from their own pc, or buying a very cheap gameserver.

The problem with them is, they are not to be taken seriously, they just mess around with everything, meaning that if they agree to merge, they will just backstab you because they are A. Power hungry, B. Dont like you anymore.

The idea itself is good, but actually putting it to use will not work out very well.

If there were more communities with roleplay servers, and a mature administration team, this plan could work out much better.

I know , I get people daily claiming they can script , Etc.

Or people who say "Plz im good admin , My rp good, Plz make admin"

And its sad to think that this WORKS for them on other servers.

Find and play on one that is good then, like Valhalla, thats RP, right?

I can understand your concern though there have been some good points which have been mentioned. I do believe that if a few small communities did emerge into a big one then sure you have plenty of positives such as new comers would recognise a friendly environment to learn their trade; however as some have already said - it’s gaining the trust of the other admins. It is a shame that a lot of server owners seem to be mindless teenagers. I don’t mean to stereotype but judging from their behaviour it wouldn’t surprise me if they were.

If I was you I would focus on making my own server to be something different compared to others that are around. Bring a new community to life and give players a better option than they have currently.

Competition is almost always a good thing, and I struggle to see why it isn't in this case? These smaller servers can compete to get the players from other servers by providing a better experience. One big server might just disenfranchise all the players.

Virtua is actually down completely, all 4 servers, we've had uh.... Owner problems.... We'll be back up soon but there is a reason people branched off. Many just want to have their own power, but some just wanted to get away and provide a better experience, like eAi pointed out. Merging just brings everything we left for back, and no offense most of it was vG oriented from almost every side you look at.

I could see a possible merger of some of the smaller communities, but in all likelihood some BS would happen where someone steals something and runs off to create a fail server because they think just because you copy someone you get the same results...

Its a good idea and it would work in a just world, but this is by far a just world, I mean c'mon, its the internet...
