0 Towncivilian
Delete the gta_sa.set file located in the GTA San Andreas User Files in your Documents folder/library (Windows Vista and 7 users) or My Documents directory (Windows XP users) Check in your GTA San Andreas installation directory for a D3D9.dll. If one is present, delete it. Install the latest patch of MTA:SA Install the latest DirectX runtimes Install the Visual C++ 2008 SP1 redistributable (do a repair install if given the option), then run Windows Update Link to comment

0 Towncivilian
Please install the following: Graphics driver Audio driver Wireless driver Storage driver Chipset driver Ethernet driver (do a Repair install if prompted) That's quite a few drivers. If you have any issues with installation of any of them, please post back here and I'll assist you. Link to comment
0 bigdawg439
so it should work after these? Link to comment
0 Towncivilian
I'm not certain. Several others have had issues with your specific graphics card (Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family), and nothing so far has fixed it. We're baffled by it, but we may as well try to get things to work by eliminating potential issues such as outdated drivers. I'm afraid that if updating all of your drivers doesn't fix it, you will probably not be able to play MTA:SA using your laptop. Either way, it's generally good to keep up-to-date with drivers for optimal performance of your computer, so all these driver updates aren't for naught if they don't fix your issue. Link to comment
