Creating races for racemode in multiplayer?

I'm guessing someone has created this: Is there a gamemode that lets you place objects and checkpoints on a multiplayer freeroam server in order to create races for racemode? It'd be really fun to be able to get together with friends and make maps together. Does this exist? Is there already a way to do this?

start dedicated server, stop any gamemode running, and type "start editor". now make your friends join the server.
