MTA Crashes. Nvidia new driver related.

Hey everyone.

I'm a regular player of MTA, never got a problem before.

I just updated my driver of Nvidia (I have a Geforce 9600GT) and all other games works fine except GTA:SA and of course MTA, both seems to start and, like always, change to "basic colours of windows 7" but then it returns to the normal aero theme and the process is like eliminated.

The version of the driver is 266.58 for Win7x64

Anyone have this problem?

I don't know whether it's specifically an issue with the new driver because I very rarely play MTA:SA, but you can try reverting to the previous WHQL 260.99 driver to see if it fixes the issue. If it does, then you're obviously nailed the new driver as the cause.

Okay.

Could you also provide a dxdiag report? Press the Windows key + R, type dxdiag, press Enter, click Save all information... and post the contents of the saved log here within Code tags.

Oh, duh, forgot to mention. Try deleting gta_sa.set in the GTA San Andreas User Files folder of your Documents library.

Dude, I own you my entertaining! Seems like erasing "gta_sa.set" solved the problem :)

Can I ask, just for knowing, what does that file contain?

Thanks a lot, btw :)

EDIT: Since the newer version of the driver wasn't the problem, I reinstalled the latest version, the 266.58 for Win7x64.
