Discord Moderators Zango Posted December 31, 2010 Discord Moderators Share Posted December 31, 2010 is there a compatibility issue with module (ml_sockets) for Linux on 64 bit? I ought it wouldn't make a difference, our first module we tried would load but hang the server completely, ml_sockets loads but nothing more. Link to comment
MCvarial
Well afaik, ml_sockets & mysql are the only modules that work on Linux, so mysql is the only one that doesn't work on 64 bit? Link to comment
Discord Moderators Zango Posted January 1, 2011 Author Discord Moderators Share Posted January 1, 2011 mysql works fine, however ml_sockets doesn't Link to comment
Discord Moderators Zango Posted January 1, 2011 Author Discord Moderators Share Posted January 1, 2011 actually, the module doesn't fail because of 64bit, it just seems to fail on Linux. I can run a script that works on the Windows version of the module but not on the Linux one Link to comment
MCvarial
The module works here on Debian 5 64 bit Link to comment
Discord Moderators Zango Posted January 1, 2011 Author Discord Moderators Share Posted January 1, 2011 I ran a default copy of your IRC resource with ml_sockets installed on a 32 bit Debian 5, it said "startup of resource irc cancelled by script" I assume it's something with the module because it's the same thing that happens without module installed.
