Set focus on edit box

How to do that? I know how to change the position of the caret, but this seems to do nothing with the focus. Is that probably because my script is wrong, or is there another way to set the focus into an edit box?

you have 3 edit fields. and you want to set focus (move caret) to 2nd one. afaik - impossible. but maybe theres a way thats why he asked.
