Newbie here, needs some help

hi I just found out about this mod, it looks very promising and fun.

I can't wait to try it ( I am at work place AKA Pentium 1 - 200mhz )

anyway I haven't gone into very much GTA editing

- where can i read infos on skinning and mapping? ( since http://www.planetgta.com is gone!?!? )

- is it possible to create a whole new world ( map ) and not replacing the original map

- when i connect to server, does it auto download new skins / objects / map?
