Hexile
Hello I'm having big issues launching/playing MTA:SA, here is a small log of what have happened: 1: Ran MTA:SA 1.02 for a while and it worked in the map editor, but not when connected to a server, it also froze up randomly 2: Updated to v. 1.03 and it worked for a while without problems, when it didn't all I did was changing the following: * Compabillity Mode * Run as Admin * Forced resolution * Disable advanced visual themes 3: Some how it totally stopped working, only showed splash screen then crashed 4: Updated to 1.04 and now the splash screen doesn't even show up Additional Information: I'm using a DLL to run SA-MP on HD [1280*720] (without it SA-MP stops working) I'm running MTA as Admin I'm running GTA_SA.EXE as Admin Single Player GTA works fine I have used the DLL patch since sometime when MTA 1.03 was working Could someone help me out? And no, I dont think it's a cause of the DLL, if it was, why did it work with MTA in the first place ? 0 Towncivilian
Try removing your resolution DLL and see if it runs. Link to comment
0 Hexile
I still don't understand why 1.03 suddenly stopped working And i have tried to launch MTA without the DLL patch Also, i removed the SET file for GTA:SA None of them worked So, got any more clever ideas ? Link to comment
0 Towncivilian
Delete \MTA\D3DX9_42.dll and see if MTA launches. Also make sure your DirectX runtimes are current. Link to comment
0 Hexile
I moved the D3DX9_42.DLL out of the San Andreas Also, I tried that with the 2 other unknown DLL's I got, named D3DX9_25.DLL and D3DX9_33.DLL Without them or with them Single Player GTA works fine But still, it wont work... 0 Towncivilian
Try installing GTASA & MTA. Link to comment
0 Hexile
I have tried to reinstall MTA also, it did change something: Now i crash after splash screen comes up And I can't reinstall SA because my disc is broken and I only got backups of the game folder, not the DVD Link to comment
0 Towncivilian
If your backup of the game folder is an untouched copy you made right after a clean installation, that will work fine. Link to comment
0 Hexile
I used a backup to create an "untouched" version, installed MTA into it, and the map editor seems to work I haven't tested joining a server or such, but i think it would work Edit: Thanks for the help Link to comment
