Resolution Problem

I can not set my resolution to many different settings. My monitor's resolution is 1920 by 1080. The setting shows up in MTA, so I set it to the resolution I want 1920 x 1080 x 32. The resolution will take effect next time you start. I click ok, to go back to the main menu. I quit MTA by clicking quit then start MTA again. If I had the resolution set to something else when I quit, it will change the resolution from 1920 x 1080 to 800 x 600. I tried 1920 x 1080 x 16 also and the same thing happens. I can set my resolution to 1600 by... 1050? If I try to set it to 1600 x 900, it sets the resolution to 800 x 600 again. Why won't the resolution stay? Is there a file to change and force the resolution to stick?

Such resolution is not supported by the GTASA itself. Some changes have been made however, so it might be possible to use it in the next MTASA version (arc's commit).

Keep in mind that it might be buggy though.

How do i use the above file? that you linked to do i just copy and paste to my multi theft auto directory?

You don't. It's a source file, you need to wait until it's compiled. This means you'll need to wait for either 1.0.4 or a 1.0.4 nightly (untested or RC). Neither have really been released.
