DarkLink Posted August 15, 2009 Share Posted August 15, 2009 Hello guys ;D I go on vacation with my cousin and I wanted to know if we can play mta in nighly builds on LAN. Using a crossover cable. I should also say that where we go there is not internet, can we still play together? What should I do to open an lan server? Is it like a normal server? Would like some help guys, cause we go to holidays tomorrow. Thank you! (sorry my bad english ) Link to comment
eAi Posted August 15, 2009 Share Posted August 15, 2009 It should work exactly as normal. Make sure both computers are connected ok, then run the server on one and connect to it's IP address from the other. I've not used crossover cables for many years, so I'm not sure if you have to fiddle with Windows settings to get them to have usable IP addresses - you can google for that. MTA itself should have no issues that I can think of, it doesn't need the internet for anything except registering itself with the server list - it shouldn't matter if that doesn't work.
