Issue with MTA 0.5 and VC

Hi. I bought VC from the Direct2Drive store online and downloaded and started it. It works fine, I can actually play and stuff. I installed MTA .5 for VC, but every time I try to Start Game it says this:

I've tried 1.0 and 1.1, neither work... I have also reinstalled and installed both MTA and VC... but nothing works.

This isn't the Steam/Gamesload/Direct2Drive/Trymedia version?

Alright, MTA doesn't support the above. But since you bought the game, try and look up for a No-CD crack!

hey "EnterTheCookie" just wanted to ask you if your version is german/austrian/australian ...? i have the same problem as you do and that SUCKS bigtime (!!!) opened also a new thread concerning that problem viewtopic.php?f=44&t=21954 i get the same error-messages and nothing will work to fix this thing. can you read out what version you have, coz i can't confirm on mine which one it actually is! my exe-file also seems to have been altered by rockstar in some way to prevent any tinkering or modding ... can't play any mod with this "new" version of vice city ... why would they do this ...?

makes me wish i'd have bought the damn thing when it came out ... arrr! in case you find something usefull to get MTA to work i'd be very appreciative if you'd tell me >> i'll do the same if i find something out ... cu!
