Guest
Hi, For older servers (like my SuSe Linux 9.3 Professional) there isn‘t a suitable package. I don’t think that I should ask about an source-package (closed-source software with an source-package would be nice ^^) so I will ask for some more compiles. As you hopefully know it is very difficult to update glibc because you need a clean server restart without other running software (kernel and basic programs only) to update the glibc (You can not replace a file that is used by other programs). Without a 100 % working copy of glibc you can destroy the whole server. Another solution would be that we could define a path to a parallel installed glibc instead of the main glibc installation, so we could start the MTA server like "> ./mta-server glibc=/opt/glibc-2.7" Greetings, Vanger (-=[GER/ENG]=- PhrozenByte.de) Link to comment
darkdreamingdan
I've passed this on to the relevant parties. Link to comment
