MTA will not start up after splash.

Help, it reads disc, and doesn't do anything. Single player works fine, and I had tried multiple steps to resolve the problem (Some from the forums) But none worked.

Again: After the splash screen, it begins to read the disc, and afterwards stops doing whatever it was doing.

I'm not entirely sure does this help, but it's worth a try:

Go to My Documents -> GTA San Andreas User Files and delete a file named "gta_sa.set".

Hey, I'm Enigma's friend and he managed to get it working.

He downloaded, but forgot to install the downgrader patch and that's why it wouldn't start up.

If someone's having the same problem and have the latest version of SA then use this and it should fix it.

Hey,

I've had exactly same problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled everything, I have version 1.0, I've tried all those files etc. that were mentioned.. every bug fix I could find. Still it just crashes.

So yea, will be keeping an eye here. I need my MTA!

Try these steps.

Uninstall GTA and MTA.

Reinstall MTA

Reinstall GTA

Get a no CD crack off of google

Replace the GTA_SA.exe with the cracked GTA_SA.EXE

Direct your MTA to your GTA_SA.EXE

Load up

hopefully that helps

This is your solution -> viewtopic.php?f=89&t=21587

Anyway let me give you some tips:

1. Make you don't have the Gamesload/Steam/Direct2Drive versions. You must have only the American/Australian/European/German versions, and they have to be downgraded to v1.0!

2. Try to reinstall MTA:SA Deathmatch and choose the default folder paths.
