Help for new users with crashing games

After encountering the problem myself, and finding a number of solutions, I decided to join the forums and post a thread about it.

A common problem with new users is that when they click start game, the game boots up, and then they finally load the map, the game crashes, leaving the MTA application in-tact. I've learned that there are a number of problems attributed to this.

1. Hacks/Mods/Cheats

When you have ANY sort of mod installed, this will happen. Mine was as simple as a speedometer mod. So, before you try to start the game, get rid of any mods or anything of the sort. It's as simple as that.

2. MOTD

Sometimes computers have a hard time accepted the message of the day. Go to your mta.ini configuration file and add: DontGetLatest=1 under the [Main] category. This is another simple fix.

3. Crappy computer

All in all, if the previous troubleshoots don't work, simply try again. And again. And again for that matter. If it still doesn't work, proceed to grab a hammer. Take the hammer, raise above you head in the air, and slam down with sufficient force, but be sure to make it enough to make your computer useless. Problem solved.
