Help me get started with GTA3:MTA please?

I was checking out this game..and It looks great my only problem is...What do I install and what do I need to download? I downloaded and installed GTA3:MTA but what do I do now?Pretty much I just need help starting up the game...Your help will be appreciated

Step 1: BUY the game (downloads are illegal and also will not work).

2: Update the game with the patch off Rockstargames.com (you'll get redirected somewhere else when you try but still)

Step 3: THEN install MTA 0.5.

Step 4: If you are getting a lot of unscanned maps, choose a map manually using the option for it labled "map" and press refresh. Try different maps until you find one with ppl on it.

Oh, and BTW, press play .
