Hi everyone.

I'm trying to play MTA:VC for the first time.

After installing and patching VC, installing MTA 0.5 and setting game paths and VC version to 1.1, I get an error message each time trying to join a server:

Unhandled exception: c0000005

at Adress: 00652f80

I've searched neary the whole questions forum in here, tried everything I knew....but nothing works - could pls somebody help me?

You get a crash at the address 652f30 when starting the game

This is caused by having the incorrect GXT file. To fix this, copy all the gxt files from the Grand Theft Auto Vice City\TEXT folder except the "american.gxt" into the Grand Theft Auto Vice City\MTA folder. You should also ensure you game language is set to english.

I know you said you’ve checked every question, blah, blah, and blah.

I wouldn’t of known if you have checked the known issues thread so I gave you this just encase you haven’t.

sure I saw that Thread - but I thought, problems with adresses 00652f80 and 652f30 would be two completely other probs - however I tried it out and it works - thanks a lot!!!
