Need help setting up my server for scripting.

Hey, everyone. I've searched the forums extensively and have found little to help me. Either the answers I need are buried in a thread that doesn't show up when I search for keywords related to my problem, or I need to devote more than five hours to searching. Please forgive my transgressions. I know how annoying it is to have someone that can't search, but I assure you I did do quite a lot of searching.

I wish to set up a server (or series of servers, anyway) that rotates through various maps every couple days. For now, I want to focus on MTA 0.5 maps - Vice City Deathmatch plus the three GTA3 maps. I can host the server absolutely fine - people can join, the lag's not too bad by MTA standards, and the core of the server is A-OK. However, when I attempt to use MTA:MA, I simply cannot connect.

I'm using Aeron's 4.15 client, and I had version 3 before this. The first time I used MTA:MA, it worked fine. I downloaded the General Scripts and customized the options how I saw fit. I noticed, however, that the scripts in the General Scripts package weren't appearing on my server. So I unplugged it and restarted the server...this time, MTA:MA wouldn't connect. It's been like that for four days now and I've just about had it.

I can connect with the default MTA remote administration tool, but MTA:MA simply won't connect. This is what I see when I start up MTA:MA.

What you see above is are 3 connection attempts. Meanwhile, in the main mIRC window, I see this:

* Loaded script 'C:\Program Files\mIRC\mta.mrc'

-

* Invalid parameters: $did (line 2324, mtama.mrc)

-

* /mta.close: not connected to server (line 3117, mtama.mrc)

-

* /sockudp: invalid parameters (line 1753, mta.mrc)

I don't know much about socks or UDP, but I do know they have to do with my internet connection. Which is strange, because I have no firewall or router. My internet connection is crystal clear, free of obstruction.

Here is what I have set in my MTA:MA connection options:

Name - Server 1

IP - The IP address in my mtaserver.conf file in my MTA directory.

Port - 4003

Client Port - 2003

Password - My admin/admin+ password for the server.

Nick - admin

Everything looks fine to me. But I can't connect anymore. All options in MTA:mA:GRS are disabled to default...I don't have any other scripts installed aside from GRS. I can't see what the problem is. I'm quite certain if I could get this thing to connect, I could easily figure out how to throw in a few pre-made scripts (I have no interest in making my own) and just have a server going for me and my friends.

Sorry for the long post, but I didn't want to leave out any information or logged material. Thank you for your aid, and please go easy on me.

Wow, that was simple. It seems my ISP assigns two IPs, one being the real one and one being a "Gateway". How annoying. I plugged in my real IP and it works fine now. Thanks for the suggestions. :)
