I can't delete itens

I've been away from MTA for some years, now I'm back and trying to create some maps for my friends.

I don't know if it's normal now, but before I could just delete some item that I'd included on my map just by clicking "del".

Now, it just doesn't work, I must click on "Current Elements" then select the item I want to delete and then press "del".

Is there something that I can do to fix it?
