Guest
Hello! My FPS on MTA is constantly 25FPS (I know this is the max.....) I'll race and the other cars will start "jerking" forward, and going faster than me....How can it be when I have a constant ,ax FPS? Is it them lagging? Or do I need to turn down some settings in game? Or does this happen to everyone. Also, when I'm racing I can't see far distances, for exmaple, I'll be going along a streight road, and then I suddenly see a bridge comming up ahead. Is this the same for everyone else aswell? Thanks in advance. - Denic. Link to comment

Guest
well i know what you mean sometimes the other people or you have lagg so you will be going slow.the slow upcoming buildings hmm i have that to sometimes. Thank you for your reply. The game is very playable, just annoying lol! I don't understand why this happens as I have max fps! Any one else have any suggestions? Link to comment
Slothman
the fact that you get the buildings not loading fast enought for you might be that you have the draw distance set too low (which can only be adjusted in single player) or that your system isnt handling the extra stress MTA is putting on your graphics card/cpu and it just cant handle the scenery streaming in so quickly. i suggest you turn down your resolution, max out your draw distance, and make sure you dont have a lot of background processes running. As far as others being able to jerk ahead of you, could be lag, could be that you get sudden and quick drops in fps that only last a split second. Link to comment

I lowered the res, and the detail level, maxed up the Draw Distance and it's pretty much the same....The buldings are still "build up." The only thing that has changed is the smoothness of my car, it's now so much smoother. I guess it must be my lag, there lag and the servers lag! Here are my specs just incase theres anything else you can reccomend. Intel Pentium 4 Prescott Hyper Threading - 3.0GHz - 2MB Cache 2 GIG RAM Nvidia 6800 GFx card. 128MB 8XAGP. Thank you.
