Is it possible to use HDTV resolutions without patching GTA?

I wanna play some MTA on my new TV but the resolutions available are inadequate. Is there either a way to:

1: use HDTV resolutions in SA 1.0

2: play MTA with SA 1.01

Any help would be greatly appreciated

We may support higher resolutions in MTA:SA DM. Can't promise though.

I would like to second the request for a way to use the v1.01 resolutions in MTA.
