Um WTF

I installed MTA 5.0, I have a store bought legit Vice City, the good version of All Seeing Eye, high speed freakin internet, my PC specs are beyond fine. and...... WTF it doesnt work. I try connecting to the servers and it doesnt connect, it times out. WTF garbage.

1) What is going on? (2) Why is this so complex and not a simple download-and-go program like Total Annihilation and Halo? (3) I went through the hours and hours of complex FAQ's and got a headache. I want to know a Step-By-Step approach to getting on Multi Theft Auto as it should be. Im not totaly retarded when it comes to computers so this is way to complex for the average person.

Please help. I wanted to play tonight but now that plan went to hell. Thanks for any help, flame away.

In answer to question 2 MTA is a free mod and the devs are not payed.

The fact that the connection times out suggests it might be a firewall problem. Please check if its allowing MTA to connect. Also, make sure you select a Vice City map from the all seeing eye or the MTA client will not connect.
