Guest
Hi I've searched the forums and couldn't find anyone else mention this issue, so I figured I'd ask. The bikes seem lighter than they are in normal single player GTA. For example: when you pull away on a NRG500 it does a wheelie, and when you brake it does a stoppie a lot sooner than it does when you brake in single player. It makes it kinda hard to control the bike, especially when going over a bump in the road The cars seem OK though. I've tested this with someone on a LAN, and both our games did it, and we've tested running the server on both PC's as well, same issue. We're not running any other mods or cheats and haven't edited any game files. Does anyone else have this or is it just us? Link to comment
orappa
I always thought that was a problem with my gamepad, but obviously not then I'd imagine it has something to do with the players being locked onto the bike. Link to comment
By-Stander
I noticed the NRG wheelies on start in some of the single player races, yet the road bike that you find parked doesn't. Perhaps these are two different vehicles and MTA chose the former? Link to comment
Guest
aha! So it's not just me We just tried reinstalling the game, still does it. We've been testing it a bit more, seems it's not just the bikes after all, it affects cars too, it's just not so noticeable until you hit a ramp or a bump in the road. Link to comment

Perhaps these are two different vehicles and MTA chose the former? That's very interesting, I decided to test that, and indeed, in "Little Loop" the NRG500 behaves the exact same way as it does in MTA. But the Sanchez doesn't ("Dirtbike Danger", I think it's called). I didn't notice anything weird with the car races I tried either.... So I'm not entirely sure what to make of that Link to comment
><CHAIN><
Does it have anything to do with "bike skill"? Isn't that higher by default in MTA than when in single player? Link to comment

Well, if higher bike skill makes for lighter bikes, then why aren't the bikes lighter in my 100% savegame? They're not heavier than my newly-started savegame either... Link to comment
