Guest
Under the "Crashing while loading" error, put in to close xfire because it doesnt tell you whether xfire is crashing your game or not. And the reason probably is because MTA uses the All Seeing Eye which is created by Yahoo and there was a Yahoo/Xfire lawsuit about it. I really dont know what happened but you can read about it here... http://271patent.blogspot.com/2005/03/yahoo-vs.html Link to comment

The next version of MTA is to be released soon, so it isnt worth to update the new user guide or bugs section. Link to comment
m21
maybe it can use both programs... like as you see many people are using their xfire log or whatever as their signature. but im not using xfire and i know many eople who arent using that too. Link to comment

Well the point is they wont update those sections anymore. And I know many people over the world using xfire tho, but it is unnecessarily to update the pages cause the next MTA's wont have those crashes/bugs as they are aiming on a 0 bug release. Guest
OK I HAVE A SOLUTION TO THE XFIRE CRASHING PROBLEM!!! ok go to your main drive and go to program files. then click on xfire. open xfire_games. hit Ctrl+F and type in vice city then press enter. It will scroll down and highlight the vice city information that xfire has for it. Under launcher.exe you will see gta-vc.exe. change that to MTAClient.exe and your game will no longer crash while xfire is running anymore. (by the way you must save the text file then restart xfire for it to work) Link to comment

Though i do see this as a good solution to the problem. Link to comment
