I've just reinstalled Vc after a festival of modding went wrong. with it being completely free of mods i decided to download MTa again after a years gap.(how i loved 0.3) but i have an irritating problem, whenever i try to connect to a server, either through the all-seeing-eye or just the mta client, the connection constantly tmes out. any ideas on what/how to correct this problem?

yarr, what type of connection do you have matey?

if yer internet is dialup and ye be trying to connect to the other side of the planet, things like this can happen. or perhaps yer on a wireless connection. if thee signal be tarrible, yer connection will drop down to davey jones locker.

nope i'm using yon standard crappy bt voyager modem. the odd thing is it connected after a while although i had to reboot mta a couple of times and it seems to have started again....
