xspudx Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 i have been using mta for about a month now, but this last week or two, my game has gone really laggy, everytime i play and kill someone they say, 'you pause' or 'you lag' but when i check it and type !ping, it says my ping is average, usually 50, i cannot figure this problem out because there are no other problems occuring, and the game seems fine for me until i run into an enemy.
zerb Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 It could be depending on what server you are on, though on your screen your running fine but enermys see you running very slowly (lagging). If your playing on servers far away from your location eg. UK - USA your ping will raise, this happens to everyone. Possibly close down all other programs on your computer when you play MTA, This can stop lag. Sometimes people do just make excuses like " you lag or you pause " due to your killing them etc.

zerb Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 Anything from probably 128MB video memory onwards will run fine when MTA is running, My Geforce FX 5200 is only 128MB, i know the card isnt really good but still the game runs fine and im happy with that.

zerb Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 I just normally right-click my mouse when im on my home screen and then i get my nVidia options up where i can display my specs
