What's going wrong?

I just started using MTA yesterday, and it won't work for me. I'm trying to play GTA 3 (Yes, it is version 1.1). I can get in to the server channel, but when i press Start Game, I watch the Rockstar thing, but after the credits thing, I hear an error beep, and i just see a black screen. The only button that does anything, is the Escape buttom. The game works when I play it offline. Although, I hear that error beep, but then another beep happens and the game continues.

I think the problem might have to do with 1.1, because I never heard that beep with version 1.0.

maybe its a windows beep or a firewall blocking access or something, dissable firewalls and stuff and se if it works.
