Does the windows installation affect my computer in any other ways except the letting Multi Theft Auto run?

Multi Theft Auto should be made so that users with apple computers such as iMac's can download and play it as well. I for instance own an iMac, I used to play Multi Theft Auto on a windows which died and when I received this new computer, I was saddened to see that I can no longer download and play Multi Theft Auto.
