  1. When i place a warp point using map editor, then test it (f5) I end go a blank black screen. This is from my map file.. (ignore the first object - thats just a tree i put in as a marker) What's going wrong here? Many Thanks
  2. I agree, this is quite tricky. I've managed to get the resources to work and get my bitmap file floating on a billboard above the Pirate ship! However I'm far from being where I'd like to be. It just seems a little complicated with the wiki describing how to get all sorts of things whizzing back and forth all over the place. All I need is to go into map editor and place pictures in a very rough way around the map at various points - they don't need to be anything fancy (and save it for further use without having to start up a shade resource manually everytime I enter MTA) Back to the drawing board I guess
  3. Thanks, that does look really promising. I also found two resources called "shader_uv_scroll.zip" and "shader_uv_scripted.zip" at https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/Shader_examples However I can't find any information on how to actually use these. I've tried to copy them into server/mods/deathmatch/resources/[editor] along with the other resources there. I realise that this probably sounds hopelessly stupid to the experienced scripters on this site but that's where I am! Can anyone help in pointing out a step by step guide to this? I've looked at the wiki and can't find anything relevant.
  4. Thanks for the info Castillo, I'll have a look at shaders
  5. Hi, Is it possible to create text or pictures on walls (like graffiti or advertising etc) or on other objects? Alternatively, can info points or checkpoints contain/reveal written information? I am hoping to use the San Andreas "sandbox" to store ideas (like lecture notes etc). This will make revision a lot more interesting and memorable. I am new to MTA and know only the basics of map editing (and very little script editing) but am willing to learn if there is a good tutorial relating to this. Thank you for your help asrowley
