and i desperately want to do it to. Tell me how complicated it would be to do. strategic warfare TDM Each team gets a carrier far from eachother atleast 1.30 between teams, as well as 2 or 3 fighters. But within line of airports on opposing sides of the map that each team would also control, They would fight to control strategic points around the map example "old air field" "san feiro navy base" and some other undisclosed location"
This would earn each team jet fuel.and money to buy more major implements of war " planes and tanks spawned based on team economy. Possibly money toward one heavy bomber "the 4 engine cargo plane with a carpet bomb script, Also for capturing these outposts a team might get the bonus of one stinger missile launcher with 4 to 6 rounds. the aircraft fuel system would allow no more than 2 or 3 passes of a jet before it has to return for fueling. i imagine it working out nicely.
the central theme would however, be to take the enemies aircraft carrier. or conquer it somehow maybe 1 or more players of the opposing team standing inside a marker for 30 seconds. or placing a remote charge next some armaments in the ship. a battle could obviously be won by attreation as well? to prevent everyone from mindlessly charging the ship
If its not to much of a stretch maybe a team caption could be appointed each war, Either by score or at random to decide what vehicles to be bought and assign certain duties.
Some notes on game play. Heli's would be all or mostly spawned on land along with tanks and humvees at the team airports giving a player at least two respawning options. Additionally if its not to much of a hassle players could also choose upon re spawning to spawn at captured strategic positions. Or perhaps this duty would fall under the team captains responsibilities? Maybe we could appoint officers? Clearly with different color blips so they would be hunted, Only for the purpose of monitory gain for the opposing team.
Airports would be gated to allow only members of the corresponding teams entry, I know this is easy enough because i have seen it used in a number of servers, the game mechanic would lend its self to paratroopers jumping from choppers to capture the airports "same as the mechanic for taking a carrier i think.. since vehicles wouldn't be as disposable with the money system in place.
SOMEONE HELP ME ! I ENVISION THIS TO BE AN EXTREMELY FUN CONCEPT THAT MAKE FOR LONG DRAWN OUT BATTLES AND FORCE SOME TEAM WORK, WHICH WE WOULD ENCOURAGE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. SO GIVE ME YOU'RE OPINIONS AND HOPEFULY SOME HELP . THANKS
