  1. I have been mapping with MTA map editor for about a year and a half and have wanted to find a way to host the server so people can join me and we basically map together. I have been on here looking for topics to try and help me figure stuff out, I have found many (see below) I have port forwarded on my router, at least to the best of my ability and understanding. I even found a forum topic about using hamachi, and that dont work becuase it gives me invalid host or something.. So I was wondering if anyone here could help me try to figure this out.. I have the router ports opened (see picture) router setup http://www.image-share.com/upload/1528/189.png I can get on the server myself, login and start modes etc, do I give the people who I want to join my interal IP the router IP I setup, or the standard 127 one? I can try to do the /openports command on my MTA thing cuase I havent tried that yet. https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/Ser ... forwarding viewtopic.php?f=105&t=44029 viewtopic.php?f=114&t=33722&hilit=+Port+Problems viewtopic.php?f=105&t=42158 viewtopic.php?f=105&t=39745 viewtopic.php?f=105&t=40373 viewtopic.php?f=105&t=37950 viewtopic.php?f=105&t=38672 viewtopic.php?f=105&t=38418 http://www.sevenforums.com/network-shar ... ndows.html http://ownageowls.com/forum/tutorials/(tutorial)-how-to-work-with-multiplayer-map-editor/?wap2 http://www.dawn-tdm.com/index.php?topic=777.0 https://www.google.com/#q=TUTORIAL%3A+H ... 39&bih=871 http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... tguide.htm http://www.whatismyip.com/ http://canyouseeme.org/ https://nightly.multitheftauto.com/ports/ viewtopic.php?f=104&t=31668 http://www.speedtest.net/result/1992520331.png http://www.pingtest.net/result/64075384.png

  3. I am trying to make a ma p but I have a problem, I will male a map but the name does not show up under the list of maps to open after I disconnect and reconnect.. I have had this problem for a bout a week, I switched to MTA 1.1 about 3 weeks ago but didnt have this problem till now.. the named map shows up in the mapping directory but it does not show up in the list, how can I fix it? I have the latest patch of MTA installed, I have all the latest drivers of everything but it still doesnt show up.. and I would like to load a map to work on but this issue will probably remain similiar issue viewtopic.php?f=104&t=37344&p=386341#p386341 speedtest.net http://www.speedtest.net/result/1628092290.png video http://www.xfire.com/video/50ff07/ @ :38 I save the map @ :48 it shows I have saved it @ :55 it shows it in the map list @ 1:05 I disconnect from my local server VIA map editor @ 1:44 I reconnecto to the local server VIA map editor and the map is gone from the list @ 2:44 I go back to the airport and my map is there but still not listed on the list. @ 3:09 I try and name it but it already exists?
  4. Ethan

    the bug is fixed but

I have this bug described here: http://bugs.mtasa.com/view.php?id=6177 now there is a patch you download, but where do I put it to fix the issue of the editor components not showing up? Do I put it in the zip file that tells you to do it here: http://code.google.com/p/mtasa-resource ... tail?r=710
  5. will that fix the problem of maps not showing up? Ive had this problem since I updated my MTA to 1.1.1....
  6. Ethan

    I need a lil help

there is a volcano when you add the MTA 3C objects in SAMP. but otherwise I dont know how to get it
  7. I am not an SAMP leech, I have no clue what the hell your talking about and whatever it is thanks for the crappy support.. how am i supposed to know that MTA vs SAMP.. I use Mta and only MTA
  8. there is no MTA\core.log this is the only "log" file I could find. MTA\logfile http://pastebin.com/gD6nRrWn there is no core.log, and I have no dump files in \server\dumps. I dont have a MTA server, I do all my mapping on the owners MTA mapping server so it is easier for him to simply upload onto his SAMP server
  9. I was able to get on earlier today and I deleted most of the large objects.. now I was able to stay alot longer but I still crashed.. should I just abadon all hope since it crashes so fast and I would never be able to finish it?
  10. directx files are up to date currently having difficulty downloading the audio driver.. (which is relevant how) EDIT I have several large lasrnway pieces as the ground (theyre large) could that be preventing it from loading, or crashing it?
  11. Background: I am a mapper for a server and I use a MTA server for the maps I make. I have been able to make maps with no problems before. problem: I am starting on a large project of making a city. When I get on and load the map, I can pan around and do all the things like normal but after a random amount of time, the server or my client will freeze/crash and I have to manually close it. I ask why? Has the object limit been reached already or something? Are there to many 'large' objects for the server to stream properly? I have already done this: viewtopic.php?f=104&t=31668 I have the latest drivers of everything (I beliive) MTA v1.0.5 with latest updates, MTA and SA are in the same folder Dxdiag http://pastebin.com/LPyRXzMs Please help
  12. Im in the map editor editing and finalizing a map and as I am selecting my object, or moving the object already picked, the map editor will freeze.. this has happened more than a dozen times over the past couple weeks.. I have to ctrl+alt+del out to force the close of the program.. I also want to add that when I load up, and the map editor opens, there is an update being downloaded and it never finishes the download. would this be a problem for the freezing or not?? the update has been stuck for several days and I dont know if will ever finish, pic: http://i53.tinypic.com/21doj7o.png
  13. I try and save my map everytime I place. move, or delete a item this I strated having this problem but then I try and save and it still freezes. when it does freeze and I have done x amount of changes it still doesnt auto save becuase I have to manually close it out..
  14. I will pick an object I want to place, place it and then try to move it and then all of the sudden MTA will freeze, and I have to manually shut it down.. has happened 4 times already when I am mapping a map.. could be when I a m testing it for bugs, look, or just placement. There is also the problem of picking an item, click it to show up and then I have to go back and close the search object thing for it to show up.. why is that?? what is the max for objects in map editor and how do I find out what I am at?? I have windows 7 64 bit, MTA v1.0.4 and I cant figure out why it freezes. please help me. Bandit
  15. I do believe I have lined up everything correctly. I just dont know where the bugs are. I am going over it with a fine tooth comb this afternoon.. is there anyway to do custom controls while testing rather than using the default ones???
