  1. MTA-SA. Not SA. Completely different. I wish MTA would just work for 1.01
  2. Deathmatch has not been released. The netcode for on-foot sync was to show everybody how the progress on Deathmatch is. It seems to be coming along great. But it's not available, yet. so just wait.
  3. This is awesome! Thanks a lot, guys. This was unexpected, but needed as I've refreshed daily to see not much change on the frontpage. Very surprising. Thanks, and keep up the fine work!
  4. Can the voting keys be changed from the number keys to F keys, or the SPECTATOR camera keys be changed to F keys? sort of annoying that everytime i vote my spectator camera changes
  5. the map timelimit should over-ride server time limit. If there's no limit, the server time limit takes over. hold map creators responsible for producing problematic maps
  6. I talked to DoomSwitch, and he said it's working now. He changed the subnet mask of one computer to 255.255.255.1 and the other to 255.255.255.2 or something like that, and it allowed him to connect? I don't see how that would make a difference, but I can confirm he can now connect flawlessly from two computers
  7. any server. full, empty, passworded.. few people..
  8. I found something interesting.. At around 4pm Eastern Standard Time, I get very frequent time-outs. It takes FOREVER to join a server. However, early in the morning, or late at night, it's perfectly fine. I can connect everytime. It seems like the master server, or something is overloading. Since 4pm is around the time kids start getting home from school, for example.. This is the second or third time i've tried to connect at 4pm, and timeouts galore.
  9. Couldn't find anything on forum or Wiki about this, and I think it's gotta be a common problem (one other person has mentioned something similar in-game). Sometimes when driving around, randomly a waypoint will not register as being touched. You can spin around the waypoint as long as you want, and it just won't complete it. This happens randomly, in different spots each time, and is semi-rare. Someone said it's related to blue waypoints? Has the problem been discovered yet, and is there a fix coming in the next patch?
  10. Getting stuck in the ground/lamppost, etc. probably occurs because an object is pushing you, or you are going into a certain direction, but the collision detection doesn't run every millisecond. So during the time the collision detection isn't running, or isn't running fast enough, it's possible to go through objects.. then you end up getting stuck in them, and collision detection kicks in and says, hey.. you can't go forward or backwards because there is an object you'd collide with.. (the light pole would intersect your car) so you can't do that. Even though it's IN your car already.. I imagine it's something like that. It's more rampant in MTA because the game is running slower usually (more shit on the screen to render), and because there are other cars that can produce a FORCE on you. Earlier today a bulldozer was driving into me. It ended up driving ontop of me, and I was forced INTO the ground. It's possible to get out again, you ahve to keep trying to move and you can possibly lift yourself up, or someone has to help force you out again.
  11. Horsepower? nah he means Health points (the health of players) in spectator mode, it wouldn't matter really.. and while you're playing it wouldn't matter (why look at health when you're in a race, etc?) sort of an "eh" thing no real reason for it
  12. That would be cool as hell. the author/s name and map title for the server stuff, perhaps having commands? such as /server -- it would give name and IP/port /map -- curent map /nextmap -- next map in lineup (if there's no vote) etc. Basically like Half life does it. It would also be useful for commands like maps a -- would show you all the maps that begin with "A" maps 1 -- would show you the first 25 maps ("page 1").. maps 2 would give you the next 25, etc.
  13. It's destruction derby. Not, hide in the garage and come out at the end.
  14. That seems like a good idea, however.. MTA isn't really designed that way, currently.. As I understand it.. you can make ANY gametype, really. So unless the MTA redesigned prefixes each time a new game type is thought of.. then it's sort of useless
  15. I'm assuming the maps that were officially released in MTA:SA will still be looked at and updated. Make suggestions for map-specific changes here. My suggestion is for Bloodring. The garages need to be blocked off. A flat entitiy (such as a sign or something that won't allow movement) needs to be placed infront of the openings to block them off
