My friend bought it on Steam too and MTA is working fine for him

Hey, I bought San Andreas from Steam to play MTA. Downloaded MTA, installed MTA, it's all good but when I launch it, it doesn't recognize the .exe file as it is "gta-sa.exe" instead of "gta_sa" I believe. I tried renaming it but I get an error. I tried to patch it but it said there wasn't any file to patch. Anyone knows how to fix this? I use Windows XP by the way.
