me
pretty much every mod is installed/uninstalled differently. to make sure your VC is clean, un-install, delete the VC folder, and re-install. MTA:VC can easily be un-installed, as it has an un-installer, and doesn't put anything in the VC folder Link to comment
monkeymunch
if i jus edit the .txd file then would it still crash ppl online(when i get online ) Link to comment
me
yes. EDIT: oops, sorry, mixed up .img and .txd... you should be able to edit them without crashing, but even then you may want to stick with a clean install... Edited September 17, 2003 by Guest Link to comment
monkeymunch
k.........i hv another question how do i install cars into the game??? Link to comment
SM xenex
Other cars that have not been included with the original game are MODS! When you go to the site were you download cars you see VEHICLE MODS,so dont download them either. Just do a clean install, WITH NOTHING ELSE!!! Link to comment
me
each car is installed slightly differently. there's usually a readme.txt with the mod you download, telling you how to install it. Link to comment
JohnnyBlaze
mods = EVIL cuz then u cant play mta and who wouldnt want to play mta?!?!?! Link to comment

GreyRabbit
Aren't there programs that allow you to add and remove VC mods without them being permenent? I belive i've seen a prog like that. Link to comment
ashdexx
if i jus edit the .txd file then would it still crash ppl online(when i get online ) "me" answered yes. i hope that was sarcasm, because i dont see anyway in hell that could possibly freeze the game, at all, in any scenario, ever. models could contain extra parts (doors, wheels w/e), collision data, duh........but textures? because my car has a different skin than yours, it can crash?! im not buying that. explain please, since no texture data is exchanged through mta. me
oops... got confused, mixed up .img and .txd... Ya, it shouldn't crash it. Link to comment
Si|ent
It could lead to much confusion thought. Along the lines of, 'Hey! Who's driving the pink cheetah with the green spots on the roof', 'Hmm, not me, mine is purple with yellow cheetah print.' Link to comment
lySdEXiA
yeah, but usually if u r installing mods u know a little about the way the game works, and u know what car u actually installed over...... meh. i think im probably just dribbling random crap abot now... Link to comment
me
lySdEXiA: I think you over-estimate the average intelligence of the people who try playing MTA... Link to comment
