Someone said that you cant modify your cars in the Console version...

Well I think that R* have supplied the modders with the required file if they wish to create a car which you can modify!

I see, I dont know much about modding just thought this info would be useful to people intrested as asked in the MTAIV thread, Be sure to read thru that forum thread as he is posting other stuff that was just info found on page 1 and 2.

Looks like R* is still using the crappy SCM format for the main game script and mission scripts (main.sc file).

Opening the main.sc file in notepad shows around 250 lines of code. I'm quite certain that is not the scm we know. :wink:

And the script folder is empty *shrug*.

Well, I was just guessing. After all, VC does have a main.sc file. It's certainly not SCM though, it seems to be some debug or test script. I was confused thinking that .sc was SCM since the file extensions are similar enough.

I'm curious to see what format the scripting is in, however.

I have the retail version so if anyone needs to know what's inside certain files let me know and I will grab the info....

Game runs fine for me but alot of people are having issues atm, Plus there is no Dedicated servers which is abit of a disappointment but the game is great, Few bugs and Glitches I hope get ironed out and some code fixed for those that are having problems R* says they are working on a patch...

i have gta4 onto my xbox360 and still i think gta san andreas online is funnier......

i wonder how many players will be allowed to play in the same server on GTA4 on PC....

Because even 16 players on console seems to me boring ( and i played a lot GTA4 online )

On the pc version they raised the players to 32.
